now that 34 round bales are in and accounted for, as well as a bunch of small work around the house and garage (sorted my tools!) its time to reward myself...
This has been taunting me from the shelf for almost three months now... I bought it before the move even!
Here it sits all trimmed and balanced and ready for nice weather...
I’ve spent a little time on the simulator, and it seems my fixed-wing chops are still solid, but this will be the first time I’ve flown a non-rotorcraft in almost five years! What will I do without collective to worry about? Will I try to go into a nose-in hover in an emergency? The sim seems to indicate that I can still handle fixed-wing stuff OK, but I’m nervous nonetheless... Although this thing can fly nice and slow, it has speed potential in a straight line that makes even my fastest heli seem slow and my fastest quad seem like a bicycle. (I don’t do racing quads, so my fastest quad is actually pretty slow...)

Foam planes are fun, how many channels and what battery spec does it use?

We are gearing up for my son’s first plane. We are buying electronics later this month. The airframe will be scratch built from plans.
We are EXCITED!
Good luck with yours!

3s-2200 battery, 6-channel with retracts and flaps. Very light wing loading so it’ll slow right down without stalling and also manages to be quite aerobatic with only 3s power.
